Mr. Bean Crashed His $1.2 Million Car

It's stories like these that make me realize I should have gone into the being plain goofy business... or at least goofier.

Rowan Atkinson... a.k.a. MR. BEAN... suffered a minor shoulder injury after crashing his $1.2 MILLION sports car near Cambridgeshire, England on Thursday.

Atkinson ran his McLaren F1 off the roadway and hit a tree then a lamppost.  The vehicle burst into flames, and was totaled.

Alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash.  We don't know how fast he was going.  We should probably note that the roadway was wet.

Atkinson was hospitalized overnight, and released Friday afternoon.

The 56 year old Atkinson is an avid sports car enthusiast, and races in his spare time.

The McLaren can go from zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 230 miles per hour.  There are only about 100 of them in the world.  (99 now, I guess.)

Since we know he's alright, I don't mind telling you I thought of this video when I first heard about this...
