Metallica’s Upcoming Album with Lou Reed

LouReedMetallica.com

Metallica and Lou Reed will be putting out an album together called “Lulu” on November 1st.  (Most folks know Lou from “Walk on the Wild Side”, where the colored girls go “Do Do Do Do”, etc.)

(Before that, he was the leader of the band THE VELVET UNDERGROUND.)

The album has a pretty interesting concept.  It’s based on two 100-year-old plays… “Pandora’s Box” and “Earth Spirit”... about the life of a young abused dancer.

Metallica and Lou first hooked up on stage together during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th Anniversary Concert back in 2009.  Here’s video of them performing the Velvet Underground classic “Sweet Jane”.
