Metallica finished off a great week of music on 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' Friday night by digging out 'Sad But True' for the viewing audience.

This time, Craig had his robot skeleton Geoff Peterson do the introduction, with Metallica adding a certain swagger to the performance, both in the song's introductory portion with choreographed arm waves during the synchronized riffs of James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett, and later as Hetfield ended the performance embracing the distortion against the speakers onstage.

The band appeared to have had a great time with Ferguson as Hetfield took off his guitar and seemingly gifted it to the outgoing 'Late Late Show' host. The week of performances were meant to promote the 2-disc Blu-Ray 10th Anniversary Edition of the 'Some Kind of Monster' documentary. The band just released a new trailer for the special feature 'This Monster Lives' that you can see it below. The Blu-Ray release arrives Nov. 24 and a variety of bundle options are available here.

In addition to the trailer, check out the full week of 'Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' performances as well as the interview segment with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich below. The group performed 'Hit the Lights,' 'Fuel,' 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and 'Enter Sandman' prior to Friday's 'Sad But True' finale.
