All of the race fans that turned out at Kansas Motor Speedway saw one of the most action packed NASCAR races of the season, and Matt Kenseth got his third win for the 2012 season, and his second inside the Chase for the Cup.

The Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Motor Speedway had a track record of 14 cautions, one of which was for Danica Patrick who wrecked herself out, while trying to wreck Landon Cassill.  On Cassill's radio, you could hear him tell his crew "Lesson 1 in NASCAR is learn how to wreck somebody, without wrecking yourself".  (I have to say that it's the first time that I have seen Danica stand up and be honest about an incident on the track, but then again, crew chief Greg Zipadeli, told her to be honest... and it was on video.)

Even after a brush with the wall on the 173rd lap, Kenseth beat second place finisher Martin Truex Jr. across the finish line by .495 seconds, Paul Menard finished third, Kasey Kahne in fouth, and Tony Stewart finished out the top 5.

This is Matt Kenseth's third win of the year, his first at Kansas, and the 24th of his career...

Next week it is the Tums Fast Relief 500 at one of NASCAR's oldest active tracks, and the only track still being raced on that was part of the 1949 Inaugural NASCAR season, Martinsville Speedway. Television coverage is Sunday on ESPN beginning at noon central time.

Here are the current point standings in the chase for the cup...
