There will be a vaccination clinic for pets this Saturday at Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital. This is your opportunity to get your pet up to date on vaccinations as well as micro-chipped. You can also have your pet’s nails trimmed for a super low fee.

At this event you can register your animals with the City, which is a law that most people do not know about. There are other services available at this clinic.Texarkana Animal League has teamed up with Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital to host a low-cost vaccination clinic on Saturday, June 30 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 4307 McKnight Road, Texarkana, TX.

Vaccinations and services available at this event:

  • Rabies – $10
  • Dog vaccines – $30 for both distemper combo and Bordetella (kennel cough) is $15 each
  • Cat vaccines – $36 for distemper combo and feline leukemia
  • HomeAgain Microchip – $15 with 1 year registration
  • Nail trim – $5
  • Register with City of Texarkana, TX – FREE

Melissa Cook, president of the Texarkana Animal League, says “Representatives from the city will be available to answer any questions. Please remember you must a have a current rabies certificate for each animal in order to complete your city registration. City registration is required by law; additionally, an important aspect of registering your animal is to provide resources that help your special friend make it back home safely if lost.”

Texarkana Animal League also runs a low-cost spay/neuter assistance program for cats and dogs for low-income residents of Bowie, Cass, Little River and Miller Counties in order to help reduce pet  overpopulation.
