Both Governors from Arkansas and Texas will be together in Texarkana come September.

On September 4 at 3PM, the two state leaders will share the same stage in Downtown Texarkana for the first time in over 30 years to help launch AR-TX REDI, a new regional economic development entity.

According to AR-TX REDI, these leaders have the ability to steer economic development opportunities to our area and to provide financial benefits to businesses and industries that choose to locate here.

The economic entiy says this is areas chance to show them that we mean business.

It’s a chance to show them that our entire area is ready to work together to grow our local economy and create jobs. Showing our governors that this community supports AR-TX REDI can change our area's future.

Officials are hoping that a large crowd will join them at the Downtown Post Office and Courthouse in Texarkana the afternoon of September 4.

Be involved and greet Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
