New Movies opening in Texarkana this weekend:
THE GREY (action drama) Liam Neeson, Dallas Roberts, James Badge Dale, Dermot Mulroney, Frank Grillo. An arctic plane crash puts an oil-rig crew on the run from wolves.

MAN ON A LEDGE (thriller) Sam Worthington, Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Banks, Ed Harris, Kyra Sedgwick. An ex-cop with an ulterior motive stages a suicide attempt.

ONE FOR THE MONEY (action comedy) Katherine Heigl, Jason O'Mara, Daniel Sunjata, John Leguizamo, Sherri Shepherd. A down-on-her-luck girl takes a job as a bounty hunter.

Saturday, January 28:

Vaccine, Rabies and Microchip Clinic on Saturday from 2PM to 5PM at Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital, 4307 McKnight Rd, Texarkana, TX. Texarkana Animal League and Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital have teamed up to offer reduced vaccines, including rabies, and microchips for cats and dogs. HomeAgain brand microchips will be offered at this event for $15 which is the #1 way to reunite lost pets and their owners. Owners can purchase a combo pack of rabies vaccine and microchip for $25. Rabies is required by law in the states of Texas and Arkansas. Other vaccines will be offered at this event. Pricing for those vaccines will be available at the event. Additional parking will be available at the physician's office next door to Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital on the same side of McKnight Rd. For more information call 877-525-4825.

Saturday, Febuary 4:

Annual Simms Volunteer Fire Department Chili Supper will be held at 5PM at the Simms ISD Cafeteria. There will also be an auction. The candidates who are running for office this year are invited to speak. They are also looking for donated items to be auctioned off. For more information please call 903-277-8015.

Fundraiser Chili Supper and Auction on Saturday, at the Church of the Nazarine located on Robinson Rd at Richmond Rd sponsored by the Bowie County Dive Team. It will also be a meet and greet the candidates for the upcoming election in Bowie County. The cost will be $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. This will include dinner (chili and fixins and drink). All candidates are invited to attend and speak as well as to pass out literature.
