LifeShare Blood Center Planning Local Blood Drive

The LifeShare Blood Center in Texarkana is hosting a blood drive on Saturday August 24th at Whiskey River-Harley Davidson.The blood drive will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Harley-Davidson location on Walton Drive in Texarkana, Texas.

During the month of August, LifeShare blood donors will receive a "Get in the Game for Life" football-themed t-shirt. Summertime is typically one of the slow times of the year for blood donations, so supplies are low and need replenished.

About one in seven people entering a hospital need blood. One blood donation, approximately one pint of blood, can save up to three lives. Every donation has the potentiall to save someone's life.
