The Eagles will ring in 2014 in style when they play the first three concerts at The Forum, the legendary Los Angeles venue that's set to reopen in the New Year.

According to, the band will perform on January 15th, 17th and 18th. These will be the first shows at The Forum since the venue closed in 1999 after 32 years of hosting many of the biggest names in music. When the building which was purchased by the Madison Square Garden Co. reopens in January, it will be the largest venue in America built specifically for music and live entertainment.

The Eagles are no strangers to The Forum, having played multi-night runs at the arena several times during  the 1970s, and they couldn't be happier about being chosen to kick off its second phase. Glenn Frey says, "The building is a grand dame, the first of its kind. There's something about it and I don't know why it sounds the way it does… But I remember how good The Forum sounded and you can hear yourself."

Joe Walsh adds, "We're currently playing so many places where it's frustrating for one reason or another. This makes me so happy.
