Kyle Busch Wins Kentucky Speedway’s First Sprint Cup Race
So, this was the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Races at Kentucky Speedway. The 1.5 mile track was built 11 years ago with hopes of bringing a top series race, and Saturday night those hopes became reality with the Quaker State 40o, and it's a victory that Kyle Busch won't soon forget.
First, I really feel I should make it clear that I am not a Kyle Busch fan. I'm just not. I don't like his brother Kurt either, but in Kurt's defense, his attitude is much better since Jimmy Spencer punched him in the mouth.
Even though I am not a fan, the guy can drive. This was Kyle's 3rd win of the season and his 22nd Cup career win, and his 99th win across NASCARS 3 top national series.
This win gives Busch a 4 point lead in the points over Carl Edwards in 2nd, and 10 points over 3rd place Kevin Harvick.
