KISSGene Simmons has settled a sexual harassment suit filed against him in late 2017. The broadcast journalist, who chose to remain anonymous, alleged that Simmons repeatedly repeatedly kept touching her hand and placing it on his knee, flicked her throat, and grabbed her butt while posing for a photo.

The plaintiff met both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley at the Rock & Brews restaurant in Highland, Calif. for a radio interview on Nov. 1. The ‘Jane Doe’ accuser came out with her claims against Simmons on Dec. 15. “Defendant Simmons turned standard interview questions into sexual innuendos, which made plaintiff Doe extremely uncomfortable,” attorney Willie W. Williams told The San Bernardino Sun. “My client is embarrassed and humiliated by the incident with Mr. Simmons. She filed suit because she wanted to make a strong statement that this behavior is unacceptable and she wants to see an end to this type of behavior.”

Simmons denied the allegations once they surfaced, telling Spin, “I intend to defend myself against any alleged charges you may have been reading about in the media. For the record, I did not assault the person making these accusations in the manner alleged in the complaint or harm her in any way. I am conferring with my lawyers with the aim of vigorously countering these allegations. And, I look forward to my day in court where the evidence will prove my innocence.”

According to The Blast, attorney Williams informed the court his client had reached an undisclosed settlement with Simmons. A request to officially dismiss the case must now be filed. Simmons continues to assert his innocence in regards to the matter.
