A trip to the movies last Saturday night may make for some nightmares for a group of kids after a screening gone wrong. reports indicate the staff at a theater in Nottingham accidentally rolled the horror flick Paranormal Activity 4 in a theater full of kids expecting to see the family-friendly Madagascar 3.

The paper reports parents were furious as the movie's bloody opening sequence played, leaving many kids in tears, and about 25 families running for the exits at the Cineworld theater.

Mom Natasha Lewis, 32, said, "It opens on the most terrifying scene in the first film  where a body shoots...towards the camera. It's enough to make grown men jump, so you can imagine the terror in these young faces."

Lewis explained, "It was only about two minutes worth of the film but it was enough to scar them for life." The theater blamed the incident on a technical glitch and offered refunds and tickets to Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted in a different theater.
