Kevin Harvick and Crew Chief Rodney Childers are going to make a great team for Stewart Haas Racing. Fans think this is just the first of many wins for Harvick this season.

Kevin Harvick was the name mentioned most during the race on Sunday afternoon, leading 224 of the 312 laps in the The Profit on CNBC 500 at Phoenix. Earnhardt Jr. finished second followed by Brad Keselowski in third, Joey Logano in fourth and Jeff Gordon finished in fifth.

After the race Harvick said,

I just have to thank everybody on this Jimmy John’s Chevrolet for all the work and effort and really everybody at Stewart-Haas. To add an extra team, bring in a bunch of new guys, new driver, Rodney Childers has just done a phenomenal job of putting this team together. These guys all want to win, that is why they came here. That is why I came here, too. I just got to thank Gene and Tony, Eddie Jarvis, in 2012 I told him it would be fun to have Tony and I on the same team, and here we are in victory lane.”

This was Kevin Harvick's 24th career win, and his fifth at Pheonix. This victory could very well mean that Harvick is guaranteed a spot in the chase.
