Jimmy Kimmel and Morrissey are at ‘Warrissey’ [AUDIO/VIDEO]
I would say that Morrissey has “beef” with Jimmy Kimmel, but that would probably hurt his little feelings. Morrissey is mad at Kimmel for cracking jokes after he cancelled an appearance on the show because of the “Duck Dynasty” guys.
Here’s the story, Morrissey ( a staunch vegan) was scheduled to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday, but canceled when he found out that cast members of the hugely popular “Duck Dynasty” television series would also be on the same show. Morrissey released a statement about his cancellation, and called the “DD” guys, “animal serial killers”. So, Jimmy had a little fun with it, and he and the Duck Dynasty guys even did a little skit, especially for the vegetarians…
Considering how depressing Morrissey’s music is, it’s really not a big surprise that he has no sense of humor about it. Wednesday Morrissey released a strong worded statement chiding Kimmel…
I was disappointed with last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Show wherein our smiling host managed to ridicule depression (70% of Americans have experienced depression according to the National Institute of Mental Health). He then found time to ridicule healthy eating (the obesity epidemic in the U.S. costs $147 billion per year in medical expenditure), and he also ridiculed the notion that animals should be entitled to the possession of their own lives. Furthermore, he found time to jokingly promote gun-ownership – hugely amusing for the parents at Sandy Hook, no doubt. He also promoted his special guests Duck Dynasty – who kill beings for fun. None of the above issues are, of course, as important as Jimmy Kimmel himself, who has finally revealed his show to have an overwhelming loss of meaning. Tune in and relive the intellectual fog of the 1950s.
(I should mention, that Morrissey has also been after Paul McCartney, a vegetarian and warrior for P.E.T.A., saying that Sir Paul should give up his Knighthood because of how the British Royals treat animals.)
Last night Jimmy responded…saying among other things, that Morrissey’s statement is “truly idiotic”, and “ridiculous”… LISTEN.
