Good Wednesday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

Crews in Little River County Arkansas are trying to remove 31 rail cars loaded with coal that derailed between Ashdown and Ogden, Just north of Texarkana. No one was injured in the train derailment.

Two projects to construct overpasses should improved safety at intersections in Cass and Upshur Counties in Northeast Texas according to plans approved by the Texas Deaprtment of Transportation in June.

The overpasses will be constructed on US59 at FM 3129 near Domino in Cass County and on US 271 at SH 155 West in Gilmer in Upshur County. Work on the projects should begin in August and be complete in about 3 years.

Make plans to attend a Hamburger Fundraiser Lunch this Saturday July 9th at the Masonic Lodge #341 in Texarkana, Arkansas. The lunch will be from 11 am to 2pm at the lodge located off of 4102 East 9th Street. The cost is $7 dollars for dine in or to go.
