There is a Tornado Watch in effect for the area until 6pm this evening. Severe Thunderstorms are possible, with heavy rain, damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes possible throughout the afternoon and early evening hours.
An accident involving a school bus and an suv yesterday afternoon left two people with non life threatening injuries. Texas side police say the suv failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of West 37th street and Elizabeth and was struck by the bus. No one on the school bus was injured.
Time to go to the polls in Arkansas and Texas. Arkansans are voting on whether to extend a 1999 bond issue which provides money form road and interstate repair. Texans have 10 constitutional amendments to consider. Polls close at 7pm in Texas and 7:30 pm in Arkansas.
The Liberty-Eylau Leopards are hosting a hot dog supper and a community football playoff pep rally this evening at the high school. The hot dog supper includes chips and a drink for $3 and will be held at the media center from 5:30 to 6:30 followed by the pep rally starting at 6:30 inside the Rader Dome. Playoff game tickets will be sold and there will be a concession stand. L-E faces Carthage in Longview on Thursday Night.
