Good Tuesday, Here are some stories making headlines today:


The Texarkana Texas ISD Board of Trustees is  holding a  called meeting this morning starting at 11:30 at the T.I.S.D Administration Building.

The board will hold a Planning Workshop and will hear various personnel issues as well as consideration/approval of classroom addition at Highland Park Elementary School.


The Texarkana College Cosmetology Department is holding a series of fundraisers over the next month. They include:

August 2nd- At Chicken Express on West 7th Street in Wake Village from 6 to 8pm

August 6th- Yard Sale at Texarkana College on Richmond Road from 8am- 12 noon.

August 13th- A bike wash at the Whiskey River Harley Davidson near Wal-mart from 10 am to 4pm

August 18th-A bake Sale at Texas Side Wal-Mart from 5 to 8pm.

September 1st-A bake sale at Texas side Wal-mart from 5 to 8pm.


The 4th Annual Four States 4-H Day will be held this Thursday August 4th for ages 9 to 18 years old. You do not have to be a 4-H Member to attend.

Registration begins at 9:15 am in the Ag Learning Center with activities ending at approximately 2:35 p.m. They encourage you to pre-register by contacting Jennifer Wood at the Four States Fair Ag Learning Center at (870)- 774-6455 or by e-mail at  or contact your local County Extension Agent.

Lunch will be sponsored by the Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas-Texarkana Arkansas. Activities include Mobile dairy classroom, basic horse health care, horse showing, snake/wildlife program, sprouting plant fun, stacking it up in the kitchen, outdoor adventure, archery, shooting sports, and a stem exercise.
