Good Thursday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

Rammage Farms Restaurant in Hooks Texas has been destroyed by an early morning blaze.  Hooks Volunteer Firefighters spent the early morning hours fighting the fire. The cause is unknown.

Another fire this morning has damaged the Amigo Juans restaurant on Hampton Road at the Summerhill Exit. The extent of damage unknown.

The Fall Gathering of Authors annual event is coming up later this month. The event will be held on Saturday October 22nd from 10 am to 4 pm at the Fine Arts Building at the Four States Fairgrounds.  Writers from the local area as well as from around a Four State Region will be showing off their wares.

Their will be both children and adult authors and many activities for the entire family. The evening prior to the event there will be Charity Dinner also in the Fine Arts Building from 7 to 9pm. In Sports;

The Texas Rangers are awaiting the winner of tonights playoff finale between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees. If the Tigers win then game 1 of the American League Championship Series will be played in Arlington on Saturday. If the Yankees win then Texas will begin the series on the road.
