The Texarkana Airport Authority is receiving nearly a half million dollar grant. The funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation will pay for an environmental assessment that is required before construction can begin on a new airport terminal project.

A Waldo Arkansas man has entered a not-guilty plea to a capital murder charge after authorites say he killed a woman at the south Arkansas post office last month. Prosecutors have yet to say whether they plan to seek the death penalty in the case against 30 year old William Blackmon.

The vice mayor of Hope, Arkansas is facing a misdemeanor theft charge after he allegedly took cash from a woman at a restaurant. David Johnson is set to appear in court in early October. He's been vice mayor of the Hempstead County city since 1993.
