J.W.’s News Update: Friday November 4, 2011

An underpass in Texarkana is closed following an accident. Texarkana Texas Police says the underpass structure on West 40th street just west of Texas Boulevard has been struck again, causing the street to be closed. Authorities are asking that motorists in that area slow down and pay close attention to detour signs and workers that are present.

Hiring slowed inn October as employers faced more uncertainty over future economic growth. The Labor Department says the economy added 80,000 jobs last month the fewest in four months aned below September's revised total of 158,000. The unemployment rate dipped to 9% from 9.1% the previous month.
