Good Friday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

Several cows caused quite a problem prior to dawn this morning on Interstate 30 East of Texarkana in Miller County Arkansas. The cows were struck by several trucks and a tour bus, but fortunately no major injuries were reported.

The Arkansas State Police say a truck driver was killed when he drove his semi into the side of a passing train. Fifty Seven year old Samuel McCullough of Nashville died about two hours after the crash at an industrial park just east of the Hope Airport in Hempstead County.

Authorities say it took several hours to free the victim from the wreckage. The investigation into exactly what happened is continuing.

The Texas House just after midnight this morning approved slashing $4 billion dollars from Texas Public Schools and voted to eastablish a new school finance formula.

The bill passed 81-62 mostly along party lines after more than 16 hours of debate. The bill will go to committee where senators and reprentatives will negotiate a final version. Under the current law, the state is required to pay schools more than what Republicans want to spend. The proposed law spreads the $4 billion in cuts over two years.

The Dallas Mavericks are one win away from their first ever NBA Title. The Mavs beat the Miami Heat in Dallas last night 112-103 to take a 3-2 series lead in the best of seven final. However, game 6 and if necessary game 7 will be played in Miami.
