Iron Mountain Neighborhood Community Day

A family fun time is planned for this Saturday June 22nd at the Ozan-Inggrham Iron Mountain Neighborhood Center at 1101 Couch Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.The community day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. A health fair will provide free blood pressure checks,  blood sugar and cholesterol screenings. June is alos National Men's Health Month and they will be offering free PSA tests, which screen for prostate cancer,  and  there will be a blood drive.

Information will be available on Medicare, Medicaid, WIC, smoking cessation, immunizations, the Lifeline Program and breast care, as well as financial assistance for mammograms and pap smears.

The event will offer free hot dogs, music, drawings for door prizes and children's activities including two bounce houses. Mayor Wayne Smith and Ward 3 Director Londell Williams will speak at 11 a.m.
