In December Metallica Heads to Antarctica To Crank The Heat Up With A Performance

Metallica has played concerts all around the globe, but it appears that the guys will be rocking some uncharted territory in December.  According to the Colombian website for Coca-Cola Zero, the soft drink has launched a sweepstakes whose grand prize is the opportunity to attend a Metallica concert in Antarctica sometime between December 2 and 15.

Other prizes for the contest -- which is only open to fans in six Colombian cities include eight Gibson guitars and 150 pairs of Sony headphones.

Metallica hasn’t officially announced any details about the contest, and reps for the band have yet to return calls about the concert.
