The University of Arkansas Community College in Hope will be hosting a hunter education class of Saturday October 6th.The class is taught by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Anyone born on or after January 1st 1969 must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas. Children under 16 may hunt without  hunter education as long as they are under the direct supervision of an adult who is 21 or over and has a valid drivers license.

There is no specific age requirement to enroll in hunter education but the educational material is based on a sixth grade reading level. Arkansas recognizes hunter education cards from other states and their program is recognized in all states as well as in Canada and Mexico.

The class will be on Saturday October 6th from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm inside the Technical and Industrial Building Room 160 at the Hope Campuse.
