Hot Rod Magazine Publisher Looking to Texarkana for a Cover Feature [AUDIO]

Texarkana will host Day 2 of the Ultimate Hot Rodding journey when the 19th Annual Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour 2013 hits town on Sunday June 2. We spoke with Hot Rod Magazine publisher Jeff Dahlin, and he is hoping to find a local Hot-Rod for a cover feature.

The Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour is the ultimate performance-car fan experience, and as always is free to spectators. Local Hot-Rodders that want to enter their cars can do so for the day at only $30, and it could mean international bragging rights.

We spoke to Hot Rod Magazine publisher Jeff Dahlin and he is excited at the thought of discovering a "Cover Worthy" Hot Rod here in Texarkana that could be featured in the pages of the ultimate performance publication, Hot Rod Magazine... 

Big thanks to Shelli Waugh, President of the Greater Texarkana Area Visitors Bureau for getting our town on the tour. Shelli works tirelessly promoting our city, and did an amazing job setting up a Mardi Gras Festival in Texarkana and assisting with the second Railfest back in 2012, before the city took over those projects. Ms. Waugh was instrumental in attracting the legendary Hot Rod Power Tour to Texarkana that will bring along more than 6,000 visitors, and is expected to produce an estimated economic impact of nearly $1,000,000 benefiting local hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.

The Greater Texarkana Area Visitors Bureau and Edlebrock Performance will be hosting Day 2 of The Power Tour at the Four States Fairgrounds from noon to 7:00 p.m.

The Tour travels with more than 50 vendors, and each day they set up all sorts of elaborate displays in a midway type atmosphere. They set up a main stage, where prizes for the day's show are awarded and the public is welcome to meet, get autographs, and photos with celebrities on each stop of the tour. In Texarkana we will be joined by Miss Hot Rod', and host of television shows Overhaulin' and PowerBlock, Courtney Hansen and Vic and Christy Edlebrock will be here too.
