During the Seven Decade Parade for the Fair & Rodeo, one of the horses got out of control and ran into the crowd. You can see the incident in the video here.

It was reported that a child in the crowd was injured, treated, and was enjoying the fair Saturday night.

Witness reported that the rider was whipping the horse abusively when the horse ran into the bystanders enjoying the parade. It was reported that the rider dismounted and began walking with the horse and pulled the horse off of the parade route and continued beating the horse until bystanders and police intervened. It is believed that the horse belonged to a different person. The rider was issued a citation, but there has been no word on what the exact charge was.
