Students will be benefiting from a partnership between the Hooks, Texas Independent School District and Texarkana College.

Hooks ISD ACE Program is pleased to announce a partnership with Texarkana College to provide vocational education to ACE high school students, 10th-12th grade, and any parent/guardian who has a child participating in the ACE program.

Beginning March 16, Texarkana College will be starting the Diesel Technology Program and a Medical Terminology course at Hooks High School in conjunction with the Texarkana College adjunct site at TexAmericas Center. Parents and students will be offered these dual credit certificate courses in the ACE after school program for free.

The Texas ACE Program is a federally-funded after school program administered by the Texas Education Agency. The purpose of the program is to provide free and expanded academic services to students in high need areas. Expanded services include tutoring, homework help, enrichment activities, job readiness, and college preparation.
