Girl Scouts – Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas is dedicated to giving back. As a thank you to the community and its support of Girl Scouts who participated in the Girl Scout Cookie Program this year, they will be donating Girl Scout Cookies to men and women of the military, local food banks, hospitals, and other worthy organizations across the state. It's all part of Girl Scouts Give Back Week this week May 1 through May 5.

The schedule includes donations in Little Rock, Fort Smith, Texarkana, Jonesboro, Northwest Arkansas and Pine Bluff.

In Texarkana Dawn Prasifka, Girl Scouts – Diamonds CEO and local Girl Scout troop will make the donations Tuesday, May 2, 11AM at Harvest Regional Food Bank located at 3120 E. 19th Street in Texarkana, AR.

Prasifka said,

“Every year, the troop that sold the most cookies in the area has the opportunity to join the Diamonds’ CEO in donating cookies to the local food bank on behalf of Girl Scouts – Diamonds. This is our way of thanking the community for supporting Girl Scouts throughout the year. One of the most important things girls learn about in Girl Scouts is community service, and with this initiative, girls also learn about food banks and their significance in the community.”
