El Dorado – Main Street El Dorado, KIX 103 and Murphy USA are proud to present the Showtime Concert Series for two great performances this summer. The concert series is free to the public and includes national music artist performing outside on Union Square (101 N. Washington Street) in the heart of historic, downtown El Dorado. The events will take place the last Saturday of the month in July and August on the dates July 27thand August 31st.
The SCS will kick off on Saturday, July 27th with a concert featuring Grammy-nominated country star, Eric Paslay. Eric’s new single “Friday Night” is quickly climbing country radio charts and he has written three, #1 songs on the country charts; Jake Owen’s “Barefoot Blue Jean”, Eli Young’s “Even If it Breaks Your Heart” (Grammy and ACM nominated), and Love & Theft’s “Angel Eyes”. Paslay has toured the country with such acts as Dierks Bentley, Clint Black, Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, The Eli Young Band, Jake Owen and others. Whether he’s performing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry or taking his place this summer on the Country Throwdown Tour, Paslay always knows how to reel a crowd in and proves to be a compelling storyteller and versatile performer. “I love to entertain,” says Paslay “I just love making music. I love how much you can say to someone in a song,” he says. “I want to be a part of the soundtrack of people’s lives.”
The August SCS performance of the summer will take place Saturday, August 31st with rising country hit maker Tyler Farr. His current single “Redneck Crazy” is Farr’s first Top-20 single and his third single to chart. The Garden City, Missouri native’s first taste of songwriting success came from co-writing Colt Ford’s "Hey Y'all” and "She's Just Like That" for Joe Nichols. In early 2012, Farr released his debut single, "Hot Mess”, which he co-wrote with Rhett Akins. Billy Dukes of Taste of Country gave the song four stars out of five, calling Farr's voice "unique, but not distracting”. Following the closure of his original label, BNA Records, Farr moved to Columbia Records to release his second single, "Hello Goodbye". His third single, “Redneck Crazy” has become his breakthrough hit. The highly popular video features Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty fame along with Colt Ford and Lee Brice.

The Showtime Concert Series will start each scheduled night at 7:00 pm with pre-event music on the Showtime Stage and the headliner taking the stage at 8:00pm. The event will follow Main Street El Dorado’s award-winning Showdown at Sunset performances beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the steps of the Union County Courthouse in the center of historic Union Square (101 N. Washington Street). This award-winning event was named one of the Top-100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association and received the Community Trademark Award by the Arkansas Festival & Event Association.
