The Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties, Inc. is sponsoring its first fundraising golf tournament to raise funds so the Literacy Council may continue working towards its mission of "improving the lives of adults, youth, and families by teaching basic literacy and life skills for economic and social success."

Lunch will be provided by Texas Roadhouse and beverages by Eagle Distributing. In addition to the golf game, the event also includes a putting challenge, longest drive and closest to the pin competitions. All participants will also get a goodie bag.

Date and Time

The golf tournament will be held Friday, Nov. 8. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. There will be a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.

Venue

The tournament will be held at the Texarkana Golf Ranch, an 18-hole public course designed by Jim Fazio and located at 7401 Bringle Lake Rd., Texarkana, Texas 75503-5469.

How To Enter

The entry fee is $100 per person or $400 per team. Download the entry form and return it with payment to: 600 Walnut St. Texarkana, Ark. 71854. Golfers may enter up until the day of the event. You may also download a flyer for the event here.
