Founding Animals singer Eric Burdon is slated to take part in a benefit concert that will be held at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on December 18. The event, dubbed "Brendan Benson and Friends," will feature Benson who's a solo artist as well as a member of the band The Raconteurs performing with various musical associates.

In addition to Burdon, the show's lineup includes Benson's Raconteurs band mate Jack White, former R.E.M. touring member Ken Stringfellow and singer/songwriter Butch Walker, among many others.

Proceeds from the concert, which is being presented by the David Lynch Foundation, will benefit veterans and children around Nashville. Tickets for the show are on sale now via Ticketmaster and at the Ryman's box office.

Benson produced an 2012 EP that Burdon recorded with the garage-rock group The Greenhornes, two of whose members also are in the Raconteurs.
