Emilia Clarke — Crush of the Day
Emilia Clarke went from little known actress to dragon queen of the Internet after the first episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ aired on HBO. Clarke plays the hot and hardcore Daenerys Targaryen on the dark fantasy series.Clarke, who was born in England, may also join another popular fantasy franchise, if recent casting rumors are to be believed. Reports have surfaced that she’s in the running to co-star with Chris Evans in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ the upcoming sequel to Marvel’s ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ and a follow-up to ‘The Avengers.’
The 25-year-old actress is apparently one of five fine ladies testing for the lead female role in the superhero sequel. She’s said to be up against ‘Community’ star Alison Brie, Imogen Poots, Jessica Findlay Brown of ‘Downton Abbey,’ and Teresa Palmer.
If you ask us, we’d be happy if any one of these lovely ladies landed the role, but we’d love to see what Clarke would do in a big summer action movie tent pole. What about you?
