Having to get to work can be an adventure when a rare occasion for winter driving does hit Texarkana. Took some video on the way to the radio stations and around town.

Thanks to some great prep work by both sides of the city, roads were not too bad. Temps getting up above freezing helped during the day. Temperatures are forecast to drop back into the 20s overnight, so the slush is expected to freeze creating tough driving situations in the morning. Most local schools and some businesses have already cancelled for Thursday February 26.

Saw some creative snow structures with some folks having fun over on Fourth Street, but what stood out more were all of the people on foot and seeking shelter in downtown. Extra room has been made at First Methodist Church on the corner of Fourth and Stateline, to shelter the over flow from the Randy Sams Homeless Shelter.
