Troopers say a northbound vehicle hydroplaned and crossed the median into the southbound lane of the highway and was struck by a semi-trailer.

The driver and the passenger in the northbound vehicle were both killed in the accident. They have been identified as 65-year-old Walton Wayne Johnson and 62-year-old Serelda Faye Johnson both of Mountain View, Ark. The husband was pronounced dead at the scene and his wife was taken to St. Michael's Hospital in Atlanta were she pronounced dead.
