Donny Edwards, "A True Tribute to Elvis," will be performing live at Hempstead Hall in Hope, Ark., on Saturday, May 9, at 7 p.m.Being a huge Elvis fan,  I saw Edwards several years ago perform here in Texarkana and I was blown away by how much he resembles the King of Rock and Roll. Not only did he look like him but he sang like him. In my opinion, he's probably one of the best tribute artists I've seen. And believe me, there are a lot of them out there.

Watching Donny Edwards on stage singing is the closest to watching Elvis himself. As a matter of fact, Elvis Presley Enterprises has hired him several times over the years for special events and he's even worked with most of Elvis' former band members including The Jordanaires, D.J. Fontana, Charlie Hodge and more.

Edwards has been an Elvis fan from an early age. His mama recalls remembering her son trying to dance to Elvis songs long before he could walk or talk. When Edwards was 5 years old his grandmother tried to change the radio station dial when "Hound Dog" came on the radio but Edwards would push her hand away wanting to hear the song. Little did he know at the time that he would later pay tribute to a man he admired for so many years.

Edwards is not only a international multi-award winning Elvis tribute artist, but he is fast becoming one of the most sought after Elvis tribute artist in the world.

Many of you may remember Donny Edwards several years ago on ABC's The Next Best Thing where he was a Top 3 finalist on that show. And most recently, Edwards was chosen as the first and only Elvis entertainer to perform on the estate of Graceland. When you watch his show he will take you through the early years and Elvis' 70s concert era. I'm telling you, Edwards has the looks, the moves and the voice! You will be totally mesmerized and awe-stricken by his performance with his eight member band  "Fever."
