My stepson says "What the FRICK?!" when he is frustrated about a game he is playing on his tablet. When I heard the word 'frick' I stopped for a second and wondered if that is considered a bad word. What do you think?

I can remember getting called out at school by the teacher when I said "son of a brother' or something to that effect. Even 'gosh DARN it' got a stern look and a finger pointed in your direction. Heck, my mom got upset with me when I used the same saying that Muttley the cartoon character does in 'Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines,' you know the one "Rashin' fashin'..." I almost got my mouth washed out with soap for that one. I must have slipped up and said a big cuss word. I was seven years old so who knows?

So what do you think? Is 'Frick' a bad word to you?

The Urban Dictionary defines Frick as an oppressive factory manager who was hated by his workers and shot multiple times. There is a Frick Food and Beverage Company. The 'Café at the Frick' is considered one of Pittsburgh's top restaurants. 'The Frick Collection' is an art exhibit at The Scottish National Gallery. Henry Clay Frick was born in the 1800s and is linked to many of the companies and collections that contain the name 'Frick' in them. He was a busy man.

So I guess now you know where the frick that came from. You see, it sounds bad doesn't it?
