Did You Know That Texarkana Was Once the Rat Capital of America? [VIDEO]

Once Apollo 11 returned from the moon the networks went searching for other news. CBS reported on a story out of Texarkana on July 29, 1969 regarding... THE INCREDIBLE RAT PROBLEM!

Back in the day when somebody said, "they had some rat killin' to do"... They meant it. The CBS News report states that at the time, Texarkana was believed to be home to more than 1,000,000 rats.

Of course that was long ago, in a land far, far... down the road a couple of miles... BUT that is not the Texarkana of today. We also found this on video YouTube tracing history of our town from 1873 to today...
