At the track that took his hopes for a Championship in 2010, Denny Hamlin tasted sweet victory in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 Sunday at Pheonix International Raceway.  In only his second race with 2011 Championship crew-chief Darian Grubb, Hamlin held off Kevin Harvick for the last 53 laps to win the race, and claim the top spot in points.

Even with running out of fuel with two laps to go, Kevin Harvick was able to coast to a second place finish, just over 7 seconds behind Hamlin.  Harvick was followed by Greg Biffle in third, Jimmie Johnson in fourth, and Brad Keselowski rounding out the top 5.

Up next is the third of 36 races, the Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  I'm pulling for #99 Carl Edwards, he won this race last year.  Fact of business, Roush/Fenway Racing has won half of the 14 Sprint Cup Races at Vegas.

Catch the race on Fox, Sunday March 11th at 1:30PM... and yes, unfortunately Michael Waltrip will be commentating the race. (I can't stand that guy.)
