Deadly House Fire in Bowie County

A deadly overnight house fire in Bowie County is being investigated this morning.Firefighters were called to the scene on Trexler Road near Redwater in the overnight hours. One man died in the fire and his wife was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Several other people including a couple of sheriff's deputies were treated for smoke inhalation. None of the other injuries are considered serious.

The cause of the fire is unknown as of right now but is under investigation.
