Deadly Home Fire near Texarkana (Update)

The Texas Rangers are investigating a tragic predawn fire at a home in Bowie County Texas. Sheriff James Prince says a 34 year old mother and her 11 and 8 year old children all died in a pre dawn fire at their home in the 1200 Block of FM 991 just west of Texarkana, Texas.

The grandparents of the children received a phone call from inside the home and they alerted 911. Rescuers pulled the 11 year old from the burning home but she later died as did her mother and sibling.  The investigation into what caused the tragic fire is underway and the names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of  all next of kin.
