Outlaw country singer David Allan Coe was injured in an early morning car accident involving a Peterbilt semi-truck after reportedly running thru a redlight.

Authorities in Ocala Florida say Coe was driving a 2011 Suburban, and went thru a redlight and was then broadsided by a semi-truck. Coe's vehicle ended up being knocked into a parking lot. and the tractor trailer rig overturned. The driver of the semi, 59-year-old Robert Johnson and his passenger 49-year-old Lisa Meade were also injured. Meade was treated and released, and Johnson was listed as being in "Stable Condition".

David Allan Coe's longtime road manager Bruce Smith says that 73-year-old Coe "is doing okay", and that Coe's wife is with him at the hospital.
