Texarkana Arkansas and the City Beautiful Commission are having a community wide cleanup Saturday March 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with six community litter pickups planned at the same time.

The "Cleaner is Greener!" Campaign is co-sponsored by Keep Arkansas Beautiful and is part of the Great American Cleanup.

There will be six different litter pickups, one in each Ward of Texarkana Arkansas. The pickup sites from the Texarkana Arkansas Recycling Press Release,

Starting locations for the cleanups are:
Ward 1—VeraBradfieldCenter,616 Euclid St.
Ward 2—BramblePark,1002 Ferguson St.
Ward 3—IronMountainNeighborhoodCenter,1101 Couch St.
Ward 4—KilpatrickElementary School, 1002 E. 35th St.
Ward 5—Ed WorrellPark, 2000 E. 35th St.
Ward 6—BobbyFergusonPark, 3415 E. 50th St.

 

These locations are gathering points; during the cleanup the captains will assign volunteers to appropriate areas in their ward. Volunteers may participate at any location’s cleanup but registering ahead of time ensures there are enough volunteers at each location.

Gloves, trashbags, safety vests and other supplies will be provided to volunteers, but if you have any additional supplies you would like to use, feel free to bring them.
