The Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter is the only completely free shelter serving adult men and women in an 85-mile radius. Already this year, 52 people have moved from the shelter into permanent housing. Our mission is essential. In 2014 alone, more than 22,000 nights of shelter and more than 30,000 services were provided through the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter for residents of the Texarkana community.

The Randy Sams' Outreach Shelter was developed as a product of a labor of love. Founded in 1996, the Shelter’s mission is to meet the immediate needs of safe temporary lodging and food for the poor and homeless who come into our midst until their return to self-sustained community life.
