Chief Ranger of Arkansas State Parks Shot and Killed

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s office reports that the Former State Police Officer, and current Chief Ranger for Arkansas State Parks and Tourism, Jerry Digman was found shot to death at his home Sunday before noon.

Deputies were called to the home in regards to a shooting. That is where they found his body. There were others at the residence at the time, but no arrests have been made. It has been reported that officers have received a warrant to continue and investigation into the shooting death.

Digman had recently been appointed Chief Ranger after serving the Arkansas State Police for more than thirty years.
