I give depending on if I have the money to spare at the time. However, checkout charities aren’t something new. In fact, they have “become so commonplace at grocery stores, drugstores and even restaurants that some shoppers now come to dread it,” reports the Tampa Bay Times.

On the other hand, many “Americans gave more than $316 billion to charity last year” according to Indiana University’s Giving USA 2013 report.
