Cause of Death for Kidd Kraddick Believed to be Heart Disease

Preliminary reports from the Jefferson Parish Coroner's office state that the cause of death for Kidd Kraddick was heart disease. He had an enlarged heart, and major blockage.

Results are preliminary based on pending toxicology reports, but according to deputy coroner Dr. Granville Morse, Kraddick suffered from an enlarged heart and blockage in three major arteries, with one being at least 80% blocked.

Kidd was at a golf tournament just outside of New Orleans, one of the biggest fund raisers for his longtime charity Kidd's Kids. One participants said, "He was feeling bad before the tournament began and steadily felt worse". Kidd left the tournament by ambulance, and his heart stopped beating on the way to the hospital. Doctors worked to resuscitate him but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was only 53 years old.
