Once again the National Weather Service is predicting a deluge of rain to hit the area later today thru Wednesday. Forecasts call for a chance of 6 to 8 inches of rain across a large portion of the Four States Area including Texarkana. I
There is a good chance that we will be getting some pretty significant rainfall over the next couple of days. Here are a couple of maps with forecasts for the potential of both severe weather, and heavy rainfall thru Wednesday.
Heavy rains are expected in the Ark-La-Tex thru this weekend, with 6 to 8 inches possible in the Texarkana area. The heaviest of the rains are expected in two waves with the first dropping into the area Thursday night.

February 13, 2012 Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect until Noon today across the northern portion of the four states area. Bridges and overpasses have some ice on them and there have been reports of several accidents on Interstate 30 and the Loops around Texarkana
