With the outbreak of Covid-19 the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Purtle Advising Center (The PAC) is making advising students safer on both campuses by advising students by appointment.  Students are encouraged to schedule an advising session by phone, Google Hangouts, or Zoom. True face-to-face advising sessions are available if needed.

The Texarkana Independent School District will welcome more than 7,200 students and their families back to school - whether in person or virtually on August 18th.

The First Annual Teacher School Supply Buffet is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, presented by Teachers Support Teachers.

Southern Arkansas University’s Supplemental Instruction (SI) program is proud to announce that it is now the only one in the state of Arkansas to have achieved the honor of certification by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

As the Back to School season gets closer and closer we are all wanting to know just how the schools will be opening up for the Fall. The Texarkana Arkansas School District just release their re-opening plans.

It's official, Arkansas public schools will begin the 2020-2021 school year the week of  August 24. The school year was originally planned to being August 13 but Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced during his daily press conference that school will be delayed almost two weeks and will begin August 24 and no later than August 26.

This year graduates at Southern Arkansas University are set to walk the stage and receive their diplomas after accomplishing their achievements this past May. SAU announced that it will hold Summer Commencement ceremonies at Wilkins Stadium on August 7 and August 8 with some special considerations for gathering.

U of A Hope- Texarkana has a new interim chancellor. University of Arkansas System President Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt has named Laura Clark interim chancellor of the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT). Clark, currently the vice chancellor for academic affairs at UAHT, will take over for departing current Chancellor Chris Thomason on July 6.
