Bowie County Sheriff Deputy Arrested and Fired for DWI

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Department has fired a 12 year veteran of the department after being arrested for DWI.

Facebook

Michael Wayne Martin was arrested this morning, and has been fired from the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office.

BCSO, and DPS officers searched for Martin, after receiving a phone call from his ex-girlfriend claiming he was drunk after he left her house and ran over a culvert.  Police found him when he returned to his house.

Martin refused a breathalyzer test.

Martin was still being held without bond at the time of this posting.

(Martin had been on leave since being involved in an accident in July.  There is no proof that alcohol may have been involved in the July accident, but Martin failed to report the accident in which his patrol car was destroyed, and has been off work since then.)
