‘Bark For Your Park’ Fundraiser And Voting Events Friday!

We’re down to the last couple of weeks in the National competition for PetSafe’s Bark for Your Park. Texarkana is in the lead to win a $100,000 dog park, so don’t stop voting now!

There will be a Paintball Tournament fundraiser and voting event tomorrow (Friday, July 20) evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.at Legendary Shooting Sports located at 925 Brower Lane in Texarkana.

So, if you have a bone to pick (sorry, I couldn’t resist!) with a local official?  This is your chance to have some fun and shoot paintballs at local officials! Among the targets are: Texarkana, Arkansas Mayor Wayne Smith,  state Rep. Steve Harrelson, Bowie County Sheriff James Prince, and Texarkana, Texas, Ward 6 City Council Member Josh Davis. Plus local celebrities and professionals!

Paintballs will be $1.00 each or 6 paintballs for $5 and 13 for $10!

There will also be a Hunger Games style paintball shooting tournament. Player tributes can be sponsored for $25. This will be a free for all where targets will be armed with paintball too. You can find out more information about the Paintball Tournament at their events page on Facebook.

Also, on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bark For Your Park volunteers will be set up with laptops at First Choice Auto and Discount Wheel & Tire on Summerhill Road. They will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers so be sure to stop by for lunch and vote!
